Anyone remember Tangee-Vette???
He was around for a long time and then disappeared about a year ago. He sold his Vette recently on Ebay!

He had a nice car. They come and go. I have been in it for more years than I care to reveal. :)

I remember him. Thought his vette was neat because of the way the t-tops were painted. Oh well, maybe he will come back with a new one someday.

I think those T-tops were partially glass. In his description of the tops is states that he has the option (rare) "Moon roof" T-tops.

I know him. I wonder if he fell on hard times or just decided to move on. He loved that car. He use to be at all the car shows-him and his girlfriend. He is one of the original people on another Vette site-'77 and Corvette something or other.

His car was stolen then recovered. That may have put a damper on his desire for it ... I know that happened to me with my '56 Bel Air

Hi Mike,
Nice to hear from you. Yes indeed tangee has been sold. I was tried of
leaving her in storage over the last two and a half years....not good
for her or us. The buyer flew in to Pensacola on Wednesday and Gail,
Tangee and I met him at the airport. After he looked her over, with a
large smile on his face, paid cash and was driving her back to Utah.
Ted called Thursday night and said he had already put 1900 miles on her
and was 400 miles from Vegas. Talk about a hard drive! He said tangee
was running flawlessly and he was very pleased with her........what a
relief for Gail and I. He did have a small problem.....he ran into rain
and couldn't figure out how to turn the wipers on. LOL The new owner
loves Vettes and has a 2001 Z06 and an 81'. Tangee is in good hands.
Hope all is well with you and yours,
Rick

Thanks Mike for posting my message to ya.
Tangee was never stolen, you're thinking of the other administrator on the other "forum".
It was all about justice to tangee, she didn't get the attention she deserved having to be kept in storage. The new owner also received all the 1977 Corvette goodies I had complied over the years. The luggage area was packed tight with stuff and he had to put his overnight bag on the front passenger seat. :yesnod:
Seems the Corvette phase of my life has now past and with this Forum and others is was a most enjoyable experience. Do I miss Tangee.....you bet! But, time heals all wounds or so I've been told. Gail cried for two days and I'll admit that when Tangee was driven from the airport to the highway taking her west, I teared up as well. I'm very happy with the new owner and I KNOW he is happy with Tangee :D
I've shut down tangee-vette.com and the rights to the domain name goes to the new owner....whether he revives the site, we'll have to wait and see. :)
Again THANKS to all who I've had the pleasure of talking with over the past 5 years on 77' Corvettes and Corvettes in general.
