Re: Gearhead poll.... (foundvettelifeisgood)
I'm re-doing the rear. The guy at Bair's says I won't notice the difference between 3.08 and 3.36. What do you think?
Go to at least the 3.55 if you can. Good all around gear. 3.7 if you want some real fast starts but not good for a long drive.

A 3:88 is great for 150+mph.

Re: Gearhead poll.... (Cali,68,L-79)
Would I be able to tell the difference going from 3.08 to 3.36?

I think mine are 3:08; stock with a BB an TH400. How can you tell from the outside? What's the "code"?
Just about three revs or so = 3.08
Three and half or so = 3.55
Almost 4 = 3.70 or 3.73
Four = 4.11-ish
And so on.
