I could see $29,900.00 if it was half way restored. Not sure on the value,
but looks like it may be a rare car. I could see it black on black with
some 17's

The car IS a RARE car! Look again it's a 400HP tri-power 427 roadster with factory A/C! These cars are quite fast although I would not want to take it on a long stop and go drive in Vegas on a 100+ degree day (at least it's a 4speed so your not adding heat from the transmission oil cooler.) The big problem is: Corvette Mike found the car before anyone else. He probably paid around $10K for it if I know him. The car will go through a hack restoration and be re-offered if it doesn't make reserve (I would figure that to be around $25K.) This car would be in the $35-40K price range if correctly restored. 400HP motors are easier to keep in tune than the 435HP solid lifter engines and make better bottom end torque. I know a guy who sold one of these cars for $16K as a "basket" case and the buyer was quite pleased with his find. The problem with C3 Vette values is the association with the later cars, there was a dillution in the performance and the stunning styling was carried on too long in production. Chrome bumper C3's are some of the better buys in collectiable Vettes right now! This car is worth all of $20-22K to the knowing Vette collector, RARE with AIR!

That's an EXTREMELY rare car, a 400 HP AC convertible. 400 air cars are rare to begin with, but especially a convertible. Who ordered AC convertibles back in 69? I've only seen 1 or 2.
Price? You can argue that point till you're blue in the face. :) Chuck
