It WOULD be quality time if I wasn't swearing at it when it's being fixed!!

This fits into the catagory:

When something is not working - you take it apart to find out - find nothing wrong -
then put it all back together to find it is now fixed !!!

You're lucky ... you didn't have to do the dissasembly and reassembly.

What year vette ? Electric tach - I assume.

My tailights went out one time so I started kicking under the dash and boom they were back on. The kicking only helped for another week until they finaly went out for good!

My '77's headlights only come on after I flash them to high beams. Once their on, they stay on. The problem started a few months ago. Since I have a work-around, I haven't taken time to sort it out. My guess is a corroded connection. Other thoughts?

could be corrosion, maybe bad switch..start with the connections first, see if the switch gets real hot, i seem to remember a post not to long ago about that same problem. cheers.....jim
