Want L-82 to rumble
I am going to be using a Comp-cam 270 magnum in my 1980
L82.Also will be using Weiand stealth manifold and Holly 4160-600 CFM.
Anyone using a set up close to this? Car has been setting up for the last 12 years,so i figured it was time to roll it out and make some noise.

Re: Want L-82 to rumble (COMMANDER370)
I had a Magnum 270 and it is a fine cam to go with the 600 CFM Holley and your intake although I used a performer. Not much diff between the weiand and edelbrock. If you are planning on running the stock heads with this then you chould check if the valve springs are ok. I seem to recall that new springs were required to work with this cam.

For our 75 L-82 we dumped the 76cc smog heads, added WP Sportsmans w 64cc's, CC Xe268, roller tip rockers,RPM intake, "worked" dist, headers 2.5" pipes, and Lars Q-Jet.
The engine runs a lot better then the 75 stock pig it was. Will slap on a Holley this summer to test it. Maybe dump the crappy chambered pipe exhaust for flowmaster 40's, should be over 400hp at the flywheel. ( I really hate chambered pipes)
