I need to replace my Dynomax headers what do yall recommend?
I have been looking at Hedmans and Hookers both Comps and Super Comps. I really do not want to deal with any ceramic coatings. i really did not care for how the Dynomax headers were with both coating and sealing. So what should work the best with my ZZ4 in the 71??

i have heard good things about the hooker super comps.
the 1 3/4" would be sweet on that zz4.

It appears they are warped/bent at the header collectors from the accident I had a year and a half back. Now that I have the car back I am slowly trying to fix things the body shop did not.

I installed the Heddmen Hedders for the Dport heads as on ZZ4. Installed on 79 and went in without a hitch. (I did ge these from JET HOT and received discount because of this forum). Very happy with the headers. :D

I was really considering those, but I think I might end up putting down the extra money and going with some Hooker Super Comps right now. I have not really heard anything bad about the hookers, and I would not mine some longer headers than the Dynomax's. So who out there is running Super Comps?

I have and love the Doug Thorley headers on my '64. VERY THICK flanges and tubing that does not warp. Because they are so thick, noise is also reduced and when I replaced my rams horns, the car got QUIETIER. Mine were originally chrome and eventually I had the chrome stripped and ceramic coating added. A local place (Orange Co., CA) did the entire strip/coat operation for $150.

I am using the Hedman headers, with ceramic coating done by Hedman (or HPC) before they shipped to me. I have had no problems and they fit very well.

It says that the super comps need to relocate the alternator to the left side is that true or can you use the bracket to adapt headers to the drivers side?
