trouble with reverse shifter????Help
My L82 four speed developed a problem when shifting into reverse. I found if I unscrew the shifter ball it helps. What to do?? thanks Jim

sounds like the rod might be falling out of the reverse lockout. Loosening the ball would allow a higher lift to pull the rod out of the way.

I remember there are clips in the trany linkage holding things together. Is this the probelm? Thanks
