Austin, Tx Area Sharks
Myself and a few others are looking at starting an Austin area Shark club. So email me at bower@infraworks.com if you are a 68-82 owner and interested in getting information re our first meeting in late May!!! I know San Antonio and Houston have C3 clubs, so why not us?

Re: Austin, Tx Area Sharks (Gage)
Our group in San Antonio isn't a "club." It's C.R.A.P. (Corvette Restoration and Preservation), a loose agglomeration of crazies who love their C3s and can talk about the merits of various carburetors (among other things) for hours on end. And of course we
Although we're affiliated with one of the mainstream clubs here in town, nobody has to be a member of that club (or any club) to attend our events.
The minute you start using the word "club," you court disaster: Roberts Rules of Order, membership dues, meeting minutes, newsletters, blah blah blah. And you attract people who believe a club should have all that nonsense.
All that "club" stuff makes me wanna :U
Our group is loosely based on the Colorado Corvette Crazies, who drink more beers and fix more cars per capita than any car "club" anywhere in the world!:yesnod: Consider forming your organization accordingly.

Name a place & a time, and I'll try to be there. I go to the occasional CRAP event, but I'm far enough away from both Austin & SA that I can only be a part timer.

The Big Country Corvette Club in Abilene is a club without rules, bylaws etc. actually more of a social group that goes to a few events yearly and meets every sat for dinner and friendship. Members 20s-80. You can have your cake and eat it to sometimes. :D
