Steering Wheel Swap
I've got my orginal wheel out of my '82 but I can not figure how the new one is supposed to work. It's a MoMo wheel and hub. They tell me I have the correct hub but I can't figure what to connect the wire from the hub to for the horn to work and I can't see what will freeze the steering shaft from just free floating up and down. I was told up front that I would loose my telescopic but now the shaft just free floats up and down. Anyone every have this problem?

I think you have to but the center bolt back in without the ring. Find the tele-position you like and tighten it down. This will lock the slider.

If for some reason you can't lock the telescoping feature by using the original "star" screw, you can use a 5/16-18 UNC set screw (#20 Allen Screw) in its place.

Re: Steering Wheel Swap (Jim Shea)
That sounds like my problem. I have not tried putting that screw back in. I can deal with the horn issue later. Thanks guys!
