Mid America's dual chambered exhausts. How loud?
I am considering installing headers and true duals on my 79. Is anyone out there running Mid-Americas chambered exhaust duals? If so how loud are they?? It looks as though I could install additional mufflers if they are too loud, but then, whats the point?
Thanks for any feedback.

I like mine....Add a "H" pipe. It eliminates most of the resonance inside the cabin.
The idle sounds great.
At cruise speed, you can hear the radio and have a conversation.
At WOT all hell breaks loose.
I get tons of complements on the sound.

Quieter than my straight-piped Harley, quieter than my '69 with sidepipes. But loud enough to turn heads when you want to!
I like th H pipe idea. And I might suggest welding the back sections. Reduced clearance!

Mine is loud as hell with the stock manifolds and no H pipe - hard to have a conversation - the system has less than 4000 miles on it - still looks new - I could sell it to you if you can wait a month or so...

I put a set on my 79 last summer. Installation was pretty easy. They are load at WOT and up to about 50 MPH then mello out.
