79 4.10 Rearend
Does anyone know if there is a possibility of a complete pumpkin available for a 79 with a 4.10 ratio? I know you get buy the gears, but was wondering if any of you knew of a complete pumpkin that would be available? Doing some research on best way to get 4.10s in the car. Thanks :confused:

You can put 4 series gears in your rear w/no problem. Yes you'll have to buy the gears but you'll also have to buy a 4 series posi unit also. You could go w/a 4 series gear on a 3 series posi but the gear won't be as strong.

Isn`t that still a cast iron diff?? If so then the only difference is the rear cover (wider rear spring).."If" you or anyone else is interested I have a fresh 4.11 ready to bolt in and a brand new (78-79 style) rear cover...e-mail direct!! redvetracr@msn.com
