more questions on hooker side pipes
Finally got the pipes apart, need to know how to remove old muffler, mine is froze solid. Do the new ones just slide in? Besides the muffler itself is there another sleve that the muffler slides into? I have tried the hammer chisel and rust knocker routine to no avail...... :smash: :chevy

Re: more questions on hooker side pipes (78 Vette)
hooker sidepipes are a major PITA to get off. I had a big problem getting the pipes apart from the headers. I heated the outside with a torch, banged on them, etc... when I finally did get them apart, the pipes were ruined. I trashed them and got new pipes and glasspack mufflers. 1000 bucks later (between new pipes and ceramic coating) they sound better. goodluck
