Motor City Vette

With the mid-70 degree weather yesterday, there were LOTS of muscle cars (and plenty of old Vettes) on Detroit's famous cruising strip, Woodward Ave. Many parking lots were filling up with classic cars with their hoods up yesterday evening. I pulled into a lot a 13 Mile and Woodward and there were probably another 50 cars already there (including a 63 convertible and a 63 split window). Love this time of year.

I cruise Woodward everyday but of course I live on Woodward St in Ypsilanti. :jester I am prolly going to Dugans tomorrow and catch the Pistons game.

i miss cruisin. I used to cruise Colfax Ave in Denver and Main St. in Longmont Co. with my Grand National.

I used to cruise Woodward Avenue..... from my home at 10 1/2 mile rd up to 15 mile rd or so.... but that was 33 years ago!! :eek:

I talked the wife into going to a restaraunt close to the big cruise spot in Knoxville tonight. Guess what we are doing after we eat dinner tonight.......She is gonna go look at old cars with me. What more could a woman want on a Saturday night??? :jester

I went cruising on Rogers Ave.(main cruise spot in Fort Smith, AR) last night. Their was a lot of people out, but I only seen 2 other C3's. The winter weather is finally over here in Arkansas.

Sounds great! Can't wait till the Dream Cruise! I'm a little ways away from Woodward but the wife and I will have to make the trek one weekend soon. :thumbs:

Woodward Ave. is a very cool place to see nice cars. This is the Motor City and cars are God ! When the weather is nice you will see an amazing amount of nice cars where ever you go. I had my 1973 convertible out today and got dozens of waves, thumbs up and smiles. Metro Detroit loves cars !!

Here in Milwaukee the ***** (local police) have basically outlawed cruising. They have set up no U turn signs and sit and wait for anyone who passes by too many times and tickets are written. I'm moving to Austin TX as soon as I can afford to. This city is nuts.

Woodward Ave. is very cool :thumbs: To me, Metro Detroit is THE place for cruising. You can go out any night of the week and find a car show or cruise-in somewhere. I just got new cragars on mine Saturday so naturally, I had to go try them out. :yesnod:
