I sold my 2000 FRC to get my '68 ragtop...
The C5 was a nice car, but I'm glad I did it - its nice to be able to understand what is going on under the hood...

I can drive C5's any day I want from work. I wanted a older Vette that wasn't loosing money everyday it sat in my garage.

Apparently, there's little sympathy to be had around here. :leaving:
I thought about getting a C5 as a driver, but the *ahem* Mercedes won out for what we wanted in a car. The C3 stays no matter what!

Two entirely different beasts, but both a pleasure to drive. Hope you can get back into a C3 one day, vettcrazed. :seeya

I admire your courage for posting! But you may get the impression that others are quacking in a different direction....

Both are nice cars. Good to see you are at least still in a vette. I like the color of the new vette. You should be able to cruise that car anywhere you would need to go.

So let me see, you sold a car that is appreciating in value to buy a car that is depreciating? Doesn't seem like the best financial move. However, I have driven a C5 and I can see how it would be very tempting, especially if you want to have a great car for taking on longer distance trips, cruises, daily driving, etc.
Either way, you're still "A Corvette Guy" and we'll still wave, as long as you do! :seeya
