Edlebrock Torquer vs. Performer RPM?
I have an old Torquer manifold on my lightly modified '77 350 now. Mild cam of unknown specifications, Holley 650, flat tops, headers... But a good friend has given me a Performer RPM. What a guy!
I spend by far the majority of my time on Westheimer here in Houston, which is a fairly busy, 3 lanes per side, stop light ridden street. If I ever come up against anyone who wants to run on a Saturday night, it'll be here that it happens. At WOT, the car shifts at about 5000 RPM.
Because of this, I'm thinking bottom/mid range torque is just what the doctor ordered.
Any speculation on which of these two manifolds will do me right?
Cheers!

i have a torker intake on my 327 now
i dont have so much in the lower range but when i come up to around 5000-5500
it really goes!!
have some mods to the engine such as new heads, holley 650 dp,true duals, headers, torker intake and some more stuff i have the almost the same question is the rpm intake better in the lower range than the torker?

The perf rpm is much better at low rpm than the torker and torker II. I wouldn't be surprised to see 30-40 ft lbs more at low rpms.

FWIW, I replaced a Torker II with a Performer EPS. I used the same carb and changed nothing else besides the gaskets. The Performer made a tremendous improvement in low end torque. The cam has a fair amount of duration and getting the car moving with the Torker was "tough". The driveability is much improved off idle now with the Performer. Hood clearance was not an issue.
