Default Questions about "Steeroids" setup...

Hey folks, well, my 81's steering is SHOT! I drive over a bump and the car pulls hard left or right, the slave cylinder leaks and binds, the control valve has a buttload of play in it, 1 of the p/s hoses is chaffed, and it's in desperate need of an alignment. 5 years of having the car sit will do that I guess... So I figure, with all the new parts, I'm already at about $400, and the Steeroids kit is about $1156, which is a mod I had planned on doing in the future anyways. So I need some honest opinions. Was it worth the money, was it a good upgrade over the stock setup, was installation pretty much straight forward (I'm a mechanic) and is there any bumpsteer with the setup? Any answers to these questions would be great. TIA folks...

There's a group purchase going on right now. It's at the top of the listings. You can save $$$.

Just do it and don't look back! :steering: I think it's worth every penny.

You could install it in your sleep. The tricky part is getting everything adjusted so there is no binding.

I went from manual to power steeroids, so the change was dramatic for the better. I don't know whether it's worth going from stock PS.

The vast majority here love their set ups. I was unable to resolve some issues with mine and had to sell it. Some people, like me, had a really tough install but we are definately in the minority. About the only thing I saw in common was earlier c-3s, but it was in no way the majority for early c-3 owners.

It's been a good mod for me. I too had some install problems but SpeedDirect made me another tierod bracket at no charge to me.
