Default Z-5 On My New Black Paint (Zaino)

That stuff is very easy to apply. I put it on real thin and let it sit for 45 minutes before rubbing it.

So, what do you guys use?

i may be wrong but you should wait a while to let all the solvents escape before putting anything on it.

Ive heard 6 weeks+ for the solvents to escape before waxing.

Otherwise I use Meguires Gold Glass wax and it looks plenty shiny. :yesnod:

90 days is what is usually required. Then you can wax. You will notice a hazing in the color after a while. If the solvents havent fully cured.

if the car was cooked in a oven when painted then you dont have to wait, if not you should wait at least a month i think

My body man says a month these days. Most of the urethanes dry much quicker and fully than paints of years past he claims. Years ago they said don't wax you're car for 8 weeks after the factory build!

I just called the painter. He said they sped up the process of releasing the solvents through wet sanding.

He said it needed a thin coat of polish now.

I tried Zaino last summer and was disappointed with the results and the expense. Prior to that, I had always used and will continue to use Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wax. Easy to use, costs much less than Zaino and looks great! :)
