I put a march remote system and PS kit from VB&P. I jack up the front end to get the tires off the ground start the car, move the steering wheel from left to right and after about 1 minute, the Power steering fluid has turned to foam, and will even pop the top of the resevoire and make a big foamy, powersteering fluid mess.

What am I doing wrong?

You should have waited to start the car. You want to work the steering lock to lock a dozen times, refill with fluid, steer it lock to lock again several times, recheck fluid lever, then try starting the car.

Once a slug of air passes through the power steering pump, the vanes inside the pump whip the air and oil into a froth with millions of very small air bubbles. You need to wait overnight for most of the bubbles to work their way out of the fluid.

If your foaming problem continues, then you have some other problem. I assume that your remote power steering reservoir has a 5/8 inch ID supply hose from the reservoir to the pump. Make sure that the supply hose is relatively short and not kinked.
