Default Tech Question: Help Please

Is replacing a bad harmonic balancer on an externally balanced 383 sbc as simple as taking the old one off and putting the new one on in the correct position relative to TDC? Or do you need to have everything re-balanced?

No need to re-ballance, just bolt it on and go. What's wrong with your current ballancer?

If you look at it while the motor is idling, its not rotating true. It has a wobble to it. Also, it hits the timing pointer at certain points. You can see where the paint is rubbed off. I don't feel any vibration but I know its not supposed to wobble. The crank pulley is rotating true, no wobble.
