Now it's really spring in Sweden!
Finally, it was time for the first real test drive :reddevil
Bought her late last autumn and didn't have drivers license then so this was my first long ride.
I found a sunny place so here's some pictures!
The engine (if you've never seen one before)
I'm really pleased with the result of polishing and painting the wheels!
Everything worked fine except the water temperature gauge, it's acting really strange, it works because it raises to approx. 125 fahrenheit but then it stops? I was out driving for maybe half an hour, it climbed fast to 125 fahrenheit but never increased after that. The temperature outside was 12 degrees celcius, don't know the fahrenheit. Is it possible that the water temperature actually stopped at 125 fahrenheit or is it likely that the gauge/sender is broken?
And yes, it's a vette with a wing, so sue me :reddevil ;)

Looks very good,, we still have quite a bit of snow, and the roads are still covered with sand. :cry still a couple of weeks to wait.... I bought my 73 in december, so I haven't driven it yet....... enjoy :cheers:
I woulden't modify mine, but must admit I kinda like the rear end.

Hejsan,
You may have a stuck thermostat. If it is always open the engine will never reach operating temperature.
BTW:
Celsius = (Fahrenheit-32)/1.8
Fahrenheit = Celsius*1.8+32

Yes that might be the problem, well worth checking up! Thanks for the tip zwede! Btw, have you been a Swede? Always thought so because your username and now you say "Hejsan" :)
Michael, we also have a lot of sand on our roads, so I have to wait a little more before going onto the highway, just couldn't wait with the testride. I love the original look on the vette and that was what I was first looking for, but I got a good deal on this one and I think it looks kinda mean :reddevil
