cruise control works!......finally!!!!
Thanks Forum! After many trys and worn nervers my son and I finally got the cruise working in our 1978. Was only because someone posted a great link to troubleshoot the whole system electrically and the vacuum componets. To make long story short, turned out all it was that transducer was replaced before we owned car and wasn't grounded properally. Run ground wire from frame to transducer and that solved it!!
Thanks again! what a great family here.

That's awesome. I'd love to get mine working again.

That link would be super!
I bought an 81 and found the transducer wasn't
even hooked up to the speedo cables! Must be bad.
Have found a rebuilt transducer at significantly less
money at MAD, anyone try these, are they any good?

Hi folks, I've just happened past this thread.....
By the looks of it, and from the nice email that gh78 has sent me, I think its actually my page you're after... Its all at
http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/~eaztl1/...leshooting.htm
and there's a link at the end of that page with some more info too.
Hope it sorts you out.
Cheers
