Heater switch, relay questions
Hi guys, I'm looking for help with my heater fan switch. I just hooked up the console unit and the fan runs slow even when the switch is at off position. It runs the same slow speed at the next position. It then runs a little faster in the next position and it doesn't run at all on high position.
1-Could this be a switch problem or a resistor problem?
2-How would I test them?
3-Where is the switch resistor located?
4- What is the purpose of the relay that is mounted on the AC box?
5- Also, Should the AC compressor have voltage in the DEF mode?
Thanks in advance, Craig :flag

Re: Heater switch, relay questions (Ed T)
Don't forget, if you have "astro ventillation" (I'll bet you do), there is no "off". The fan will run whenever the key is in the "on" position... Your only weird problem is the high speed not working - probably the relay.
Good luck

Re: Heater switch, relay questions (CF6873)
theres a fuse for the high speed,,, its located behind the washer bottle.. if this fuse is blown you wont have a high speed but it will still work on the lower speeds
