Default Changing flywheel size - change bell housing?

I'm planning to install the GM lightweight nodular iron flywheel (PN 14085720). I think this is the old L-88/ZL-1 flywheel. This takes a 10.4" clutch. I'm presently running an 11" clutch with the PN 3899621 bell housing. I know that I'll need to change the clutch and starter housing. But I'm wondering if my bell housing and inspection cover will still work with the smaller flywheel. Anybody have any info on this?

You can use a small diameter flywheel/clutch in your bellhousing without any problems. Be sure to check that you have the correct length ball stud to get the proper clutch fork geometry before reinstalling the trans.
