Im thinking about going this direction as they are so cool. I know there are a few types manufactured through the years - steel and aluminum version.

Do these clear the calipers?

Im not sure if painted or polished/chromed is the way I want to go.

I have the newer 2 piece aluminum polished type, I sanded the centers and painted them a graphite color and added billet spinners.

Thanks 4 the pics TRW, I purchased a set of the 1 piece in the early 80s ,dont know if american Racing still makes them?, when new they were shinier on the dish the spokes were natrual finish. and looked GREaTTT, Personaly I dont care for the 2 piece design. (just my $.02). also the second pic of the yellow vette. are the ft,and rear wheels backwards?. looks like a deeper dish on the fts?. (know there not yrs, ) just poking the bear?lol, again tks 4 the pics, always nice to view other vettes.

Are yours 100% aluminum? (rim + spoke centers)

Would you have a part number reference by chance?

I think high polish will look great with my black paint. Doing internet searches, Im not getting full info on what exactly is the construction of the rims that some of these places are selling.

I bought mine through my local Firestone dealer over in New Orleans a few years ago while I still lived there. I dug up the old paperwork I received with the wheels and this is what was listed from American. From the description I would say they're all aluminum.

Product Number: 200-5861
Size: 15x8
Product Description: 15X8 200S FULLY POLISHED 2-PIECE ALLOY
Bolt Pattern: 5x4-3/4 single bolt circle
Backside Spacing (in/mm): 4.125/105
Offset: -12 mm
Rear Wheel Drive only

Firestone's part number was 7019852 and they were $198.00/each because Firestone was adding to the price for their cut. I was impatient and they had them in stock for same day mounting. I've seen the same wheels at various on-line stores for ~$175.00/each if you're willing to wait for delivery.

Not sure if all that helps but that's all I have on them. :cheers:
