Vacuum advance part 3
As per http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=792459 I had purchased a Crane adjustible cannister which proved to be way too dificult and not up to their "easy adjustment" claims. LARS helped me and my original 60-65 total advance is now down to 54-55 total while meeting the 36 degree requirement at 2500RPM. Thanks LARS.

Re: Vacuum advance part 3 (Cali,68,L-79)
So how does it run with that simple, cheap-o, non-performance vac advance unit I sent you after...? Did you go with the 1810? Is it running best on ported or manifold vacuum?
Good job getting it sorted out and installed - your timing numbers look like you're right on the spec now. The car should have a nice feel to it with those timing numbers.

LARS thanks again and hope to "run her thru the gears" tomorow. She sounds nice. Noticed no ported vacuum ON THE CARB at idle then starts to come in hard at 1500RPM plus.
Yes used the VC-1810 for $9.87 :lolg: :lolg: beats the **** off that $35 adjustible NASA unit.
