Anyone added a pusher fan to aid in cooling ?
Want to add an electric pusher (single) to the front of my rad to aid in cooling when I put the new motor in and was thinkin I could go to the junkyard and get one.
This would just be a helper fan and I would still be using the factory original fan too.
I would just hook it up to switch under the dash first and add a temp controller later.
Has anyone done this ? I would like to know what kind of car to get the fan from, doesn't really matter ( Chevy, Toyota etc. ) as long as it will fit and runs off 12V.

I've thought about it on my car but after looking at how close the hood comes to the A/C condenser I realized it wouldn't work. The fan would have to be less than 2 inches thick. I went with a puller that I got from a wrecked BMW V12. Boy, that sucker moves some air.

I installed a pusher fan as well as an electric pull type. I definitely need both fans. The temp will start to rise in traffic unless I turn on the extra fan.
I do not have air and when opening the hood a fan infront can run into the hood bracing. A little trimming of this bracing and slightly shortening the arm that holds the hood open prevents this.

I don't have the AC condenser anymore so I have a little more room. Would like to know what make ( fan ) to ask for at the junkyard, guess I could walk around and look :D
