Default 79 Headlight Vacuum info needed

On a 79 where was the vacuum connected to the intake or the carb.? Was there a filter/check valve mounted in line? On a 79 is the front crossmember used as the vacuum tank? If anyone has or would be willing to shoot a couple of pictures they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

I've got a 7 page or so write up with diagrams. Give me a couple of days and I could get it scanned in I have no idea where I got it from.

The vacuum tank is the cylinder runnining across the frame at the front. The vacuum source is fitting behind the carb. on the manifold. Three vacuum hose. There should be a check valve and filter, one line going into thew filter I think and two coming out.

Thanks for the reply! It backs up what I have been able to find out so far. Now I need to find out the G.M. part numbers for the filters and check valves.
