70 Vert rebuild update photos. almost done!! Lot of photos!!
Well it's getting closer. Here are some updates and photos to go with some of the mod projects I have done during the rebuild.
First up the stereo:
I wanted to good strong sounds, not that it will be on much, doubt I would hear it over the sidepipes and with the top down, but I figured I would give it a shot with 300W!!
This is the panel I made to raise the rear floor for the speakers, I don't need it for storage!! It is hinged at 15" to allow access to the storage area, and the battery.
This is the frame work for the speaker system.
Carpet glued to the board
Speaker holes cut out, and mpounted in the back of the car.
Do you not like your rear taillight setup? try 4 way brake lights. The inside ones are brake, and tail, the outter two are brake, turn, tail.
These are chrome lined with chrome bezels, LED.
Should have the interior done this week.
Back to work.
Thanks again guys for all of the help.

Looks real nice.
Ive seen some guys in the audio forum section here that have put a black screen mesh over the subs to protect them. That looked pretty cool too.

She will be ready for cruising in no time. I like the stereo idea. I may have to borrow some ideas from you if you don't mind.

Very nice!
Hey where did you get the tail lights?
I may need to convert my lights when I get back to Australia and they look like what I need.

Garandfan , I haven't done rear speakers yet , but my question to you is - are you able to store your soft top in there with your speaker tray

The deck should work good, some of the sound from the 6X9's will be blocked with the top down, but I doubt I'll be running the radio much with it down any ways. Like listening to the motor and the road sounds!!
