Couple of pics of MiniRat progress
Just finished degreeing the cam and it checked out perfect right on
the numbers. Wish everything else had gone that good so far. So far
I had to get another set of main bearing cause the brand spanking new
Scat crank was to far undersize. The rods were also hitting the cam
so I had to take a little off the sides (he he)
Anyway had to see what it was going to look like and thought Id share. :D

Looking good. You should have enough clearance with those valve covers now.

Those rockers look cool. Should be one heck of a motor. Anything special needed to run those rockers?

My friend that engine is a true piece of art.
Listen I have a 68 Vert that would make a perfect home for that monster.

SUPER C   L !!!
It looks like it's going to be a drag race to see who fires theirs 1st ;) Mine is going in this weekend if everything goes right :D I still have enough to do after it's in though to keep me busy for awhile before I turn it over.
Keep us updated Motorhead

Re: Couple of pics of MiniRat progress (Fevre)
Thanks guys I know I like to see pictures of other buildups and follow the progress.
THe Hi Tech roller rockers are Comp Cams rockers, they are made of 15-5 PH stainless steel ( beats me what that means but they are expensive ) these are 1.6:1 ratio giving me valve lift in the .610 in range. They are a bolt on item but don't clear my head studs at the moment. The neat thing about them is that they are rebuildable, you send them back to Comp and they fix wahtever is worn. Desktop Dyno has me at 575HP and 550ft/lbs ( possibly a bit optimistic but we will see shortly) with this combo. :D
My long term plans are to put this in the Vette break a few parts then rebuild the L48 and put that back in. I will then buy a race car rolling chassis and put this motor in and really crank it up.

Re: Couple of pics of MiniRat progress (8T1-7T9 BIONIC VETTE)
I got the valve covers at a swap meet don't know who makes them but Moroso
sells the same style ( they actually have 2 fabricated versions one has only 2 angles and the other has the three angles on the top ) they are pretty pricey at $350 ) for the three angle version ) at Jegs. I paid about a third of that at the swap meet :D
