The little box wrapped in duct tape on the firewall.
The cover is broken and the previous owner put duct tape to hold it.
What is it?

looks like a Bubba box to me.

is that a really old radio shack motion sensor next to it. i had one of those back in the 70s. brings back memories.

wiper relay should be located in the pass. side rear compartment (under the liner), looks like some top notch bubba wire splicing and duct taping there.

I owned a 1979 L-82 for 17 years and can assure you that whatever that is, it is not GM. The red wires you see in my pic are for a toggle ignition kill switch. You can see it if you look carefully.

Hey!!! My '79 had that goofy motion sensor in it when I got my car too! And the "bubba box" next to it is also probably aftermarket alarm-related. The factory alarm is under the center console. I ripped all that 70's-era aftermarket garbage out of my car...

My 71 has a small box in this area....I'd say it's stock on mine.

My X-ray vision is down today! ;) Why not remove the duct tape and see what is in the box (or behind door number 3)? A little more detail other than what is it, might help.

I did remove the tape and it is a broken black box.
Inside is a circuit board. It's Old.

If it's a Flux Capacitor, then by god it's staying. :lolg:
I'll have to keep this puppy below 88. ;)

No Cruise Control. . .
