Brake Light in Tacho comes on - Questions
Just got car rolling again, and stopping also!
I replaced all bulbs in the dash and also installed power brakes, new M/C and new calipers (well they are six months old).
Car has ALL kinds of brakes but light comes on in Tacho when I brake. It does feel a little nose heavy when I brake ie I almost went through the windshield under heavy braking.
Is this the distribution block switch causing the light to come on?
Can I reset this by bleeding the front/rear more the rear/front?
If I test brake pressure at front and rear calipers should they be identical?
Any advice appreciated.

The distribution block is causing the light. That much is for sure. The light will be illuminated whenever the front or rear pressure is lower than it should be in proportion to the other. Since your car is stopping well, I would assume it is the rear that is faulty. Probably air somewhere. You are going to have to bleed the rear more than the front when you replace everything just because of the amount of piping back there.
Possible problems that I see.
Air in the master cylinder still.
Air in one of the rear calipers or lines.

That light is also controlled by the parking brake. Be sure you don't have a loose wire that only contacts (grounds) when you are braking.

stingry:
I did the same conversion as you, and it took several "bleeds" to purge the air from the lines. The rears also gave me the problems. Drive locally for a few days and rebleed. Repeat as required.

Thanks guys,
Will check and bleed. I think I have used 2 gallons of DOT4 over the last year.
