Latest Progress
Here is an update with my Vette project:
I have been concentrating on the body and preparing it for the day when I can drop it back onto the frame. After it is back on the frame, then I will prepare it for painting. Right now I have the body and dolly up on jackstands so I can get all around and under to work on it.
Here is a "before shot" of the firewall. I have a lot of work to do before I can take the "after shot".
Here is a shot of the dash area. I still have to remove the old wiring and heater core before coating the entire flooring and firewall with truck bedliner coating.
I have retired the rear bumper cover and made it into my workbench light. Under it is a set of C2 aluminum valve covers, a set of L-89 427 valve covers, and a set of Gen V valve covers.

Nice pics... I'm in exactly the same state with my '79... body off up on dolly... frame is sandblasted and ready to paint today.
Spray in bedliner material to coat the firewall and flooring inside? Hadn't thought of that.... might have to consider it.

I was asking him about what to paint the underside of the body and he said that he used a spray in bedliner he bought at an AutoZone. He went on to say that if you spray the inside as well, that cuts down on road noise and insulates the floor more from heat. Not sure about your Vette, but my floor was always hot when I was driving!
