Default 200r4 wiring

I am planning on swapping a 200r4 in my dads car and i need information on how to wire it up. I know bowtie has the kit but i wired my 700r4 up without it for $10 so i am hoping to do the same with his. Any info?

thanks.

If nobody replies IM me your email address & & send details of how I did mine for the price of a few connectors. Probably won't be able to reply immediately, but I'll get something to you asap if you want it.

Looking at the rear of the plug that goes into the tranny connector (so you're looking directly at the wires exiting the plug), & with the locking tab in the 12oclock posn, the wire on the top left pin is for lockup in OD (Pin A) & on the bottom left is for lockup in 3rd (pin D).

You can just add a switch that locks up the convertor when you want to. The setup in the trans is to allow the lockup to be controled by pressure. I would recommend you hook up through the brake pedal so if you had to slam on the brakes it would disconnect it.

Thank you paul. That is exactly what i needed to know. Now i have to get to work. The tranny isnt goin in a corvette at all. I put a 700r4 in my 79 and it is great. After the install my father decided that he wanted to put an Od in his 59 impala. Thank you for all your info.
