A fews ago, someone here bought a very similar car in the $12K to $14K range.
I don't remember who it was, but remember thinking he got a great deal.

Last year, i got a 69 that was just as clean as that for 14K. Then I was offered 25K and I turned it down. Then i got bored and decided to tear out the interior, engine, strip, and repaint the frame, body, and basically restore the whole car.

I asked him what work has been done on the car and he didn't give any reply. I think the paint is nice, but everything mechanical would need to be redone. I think he is a bit high, but I will probably go take a look at it this weekend.

That would be a decent price if it was an original "Big Block" car ! :yesnod:

Otherwise, the engine, frame, and everything else should look as good or better than the paint ! ;)

If it were a big block I wouldn't be asking for an opinion and the car would probably already be sold.

I think he is about right, maybe a little high but not much. Bumper cars are going up and it is a vert. If it were a 67 you couldn't get a decent parts car for that.

Make him an offer of $14K. That should bring him back to reality!

He also sent me pictures of the car, the engine bay looks original and in need of cleaning, the undercarriage and frame were repainted poorly with the car on the frame. Old exhaust system, the interior is in decent shape. I am comparing this car to a similar L46 on this forums for sale board that was super clean and went for a similar price. From the pictures this car in no where near that clean.

Ray Charles would pay twice that if he could see it. You never know just how nice something is until you view it first-hand. If you really like the car, then it's a worth that number.

I sold a BB Riverside gold coupe fully optioned, I was original owner, Zora's autograph on the owners manual and 65K on the odometer, all original (including paint which was very thin) for considerably less (about 5K less).
