The yoke is the same as a turbo 350

The shifter detent plate is different for the overdrive trans. You can rework yours but it would be a lot better if you change it out. You will need to replace the bake light switchwith one that will disconnect the lock-up convertor when you put on the brake ( same as the one used for cars with cruise control).

I could be wrong, but I'm almost certain that a 700R4 from a Vette is exactly the one you don't want. It's because the torque arm that goes from the trans to the rear differential mounts to the back of the trans and the area where it connects is too big. You won't have clearance. In other words, Vette 700R4's are different from other 700R4's.

The Corvette 700r4's have the mount on the side and would require a custom cross member. You can get a different tail cover but the mount is still in a weird place. You're better off with a regular case..Been there done that...

Good luck

i agree but ive seen a tailshaft for the corvette 700r4's that will bolt right up and use the mount in the same place as a turbo 400.Now i just got to find it.

Yes, the tailshaft is an issue. I have a 92 Vette 700 in my 69. I got an 82 tailhousing, but you still have to modify the crossmember. You cannot easily use a BowTie crossmember with this-the BowTie crossmember wants to use the mount holes near the pan which a Vette 700R does not have.
