Have a buddy grab it and thread in a bolt or 2 while you are holding it from under the car. By myself I kinda set it on the collector and laid against the wheel well then got out from under the car and grabbed it and pulled it up into place.

screw in two theaded rods in the heads, then just slip the headers over them then you don't have to hold anything while you put the other bolts in. double nut theaded ros, screw out and put header bolts in. :steering:

Re: Header instalation tips (JDRez42)
as most have posted, install from bottom...having a friend makes much easier. Installed Heddmen on my 79, removed clutch z bar (linkage). Did not have to remove starter. Job went pretty smooth. I had removed dip stick, to give myself additional clearance, but was easy to replace. On my 79, i used the same front bolt on AC side for bracket, but other than that no issues.....good luck

Guess everyone is a little bit different, I had to feed the drivers side up from the bottom. The passenger side went in from the top, but had to pull the valve cover off. Left the starter in. Mine were Heddmans, wasn't too pleased with the fit. Had to dent the left side slighty to clear the idler arm.
Overall its a pretty easy job, hardest part is getting the old stuff off. I had one bolt rusted solid inside old exhaust manifold, had to cut it off.
Good luck
