Are front wheel studs connected to the drum only?
I have to replace my front calipers but they are riveted to the hub. If I drill out the rivets and the wheel studs are only in the drum, that will mean I will have to re-rivet or bolt the rotor to the hub.
(not sure how to do that) I had the unit off a couple of years ago but I don't recall if the studs we pressed into the hub or rotor.
Thanks

The rotor and hub are separate components. But you do not have to remove the rotor from the hub by drilling out the rivits. All you have to do is remove the rotor/hub assembly and drive the studs out (a press is a much better tool but you probably don't have one of those). You'll see the stud ends from the back of the hub.

The studs pass through the rotors. Once the rivets are drilled out rust is the only thing holding the rotors on.
When replaceing the rotors just slide them over the studs and that is all that is requried to hold them, no need to re rivet.
Once the wheel is installed and torqued into place the rotors are trapped.

I didn't even catch that when reading.
Obviously, he meant the rotors.
