Default 68 steering column

Could someone go through the steps to lower the steering column on a 68. I need to remove my tach and speedo and don't want to screw anything up.

THANKS

There should be 4 bolts hold up the column. Once it's dropped you'll have acess the the Tach and speedo.

You may also want to loosen the two bolts near the floorboard. No need to take them out--just loose. You don't want the entire weight of that column prying on your floor and possibly cracking it. I don't remember if you have to take it loose from the steering box coupler as well. It's been a while since I dropped my column. I took it all the way out.
