Fiberglass side exhaust covers
I am intersted in seeing if anyone has pictures or the 69 fiberglass side exhaust covers painted to match the originals installed on their corvette. Also which paint did you use to replicate them
Thanks

Originals were chrome; you'll never get paint to match that.
I have seen them painted with the original rally wheel silver paint and they looked very good (if you still are running your rally wheels).

silver and black paint. They don't look to bad. They will do till I get an original pair :yesnod: They don't get hot and are easy to keep clean. I figure I should get at least 1/2 my money back on them when I do sell them.

Hey Mark ... long time (I'm pushing to drive in May).
Thinking of going with sidepipes ?
In my pinion, they look good silver and black OR painted to match the car.
I'll try to dig up pictures that I have, when I get home tonight.

Hey Tony, I can't tell from the pics, but do your sidepipes hang below the covers? I think mine are going to, I got them from sweethunder, 2 1/4"

They hang just a little bit, maybe 1/2". Nothing that really sticks out, and you really don't notice them. You will love them once you get them on

I have had my fiberglass covers on for about 14 years now. I have never repainted them since I put them on. I used regular enamal car paint.

Ken, Yours did look nice when I saw them over Daves house. Your car sounded great, I wanted to get sidepipes when Dave gave me a ride in it  Hopefully my Hedmans will come in sooner so I can get these pipes on.
