Default Interior Room -- difference between years?

I recently sat in an 79... It seems to have a lot more shoulder room than my 71 roadster. My arm is right up against the door panel in the 71 now! My last vette was a 74 and that also felt roomier. Do convertibles have less space inside?

I'm not aware of any noticable difference after '69. '68's had less room and then they redesigned it for 69 and increased space.

One thing to check is if your seats are in the correct position. They're supposed to lean in towards the middle of the car, giving you more room to the doors.

My 72 conv definitely feels roomier than my 69 did. I am 6'5", 260 and it feels much better. 68s are out of the question for me since no tilt-tele, bigger steering wheel. I went to test drive one and I couldn't even get in it!!
