Default '73 Convert potential purchase, chapter 3

So the saga continues toward the possible purchase of a '73 convertible. When we last left our intrepid protagonist (that would be me) there was a pending inspection on Saturday with more pictures to follow. So here we are on Monday, the inspection report is in, and so are the pics. For anyone who is interested in background, here are the first posts:

First, the inspection report. My father spent about 1.5 hours going over the car. It was pretty accurately represented. There were a few minor chips in the paint, one on the leading edge of the drivers door, another on the headlight bucket, and one small crack at the top of the drivers front wheelwell. The front bumper is not mis-matched color from the fenders, despite how the first pics looked. There is one small repair spot on the rear decklid, under the luggage rack, that is slightly visible in the right light. Perhaps the repaired area shrunk after the new paint was applied. There is some overspray on the headlight actuators, hoses, and horns up front. Otherwise the paint was in good shape, glossy and no runs or other imperfections. The outer door handles had some minor pitting and one of the rear exhaust bezels is missing.

Interior looked very good. The only problems noted were that the carpet on the deluxe door panels was loose at the bottom edges and needed to be reattached. There was some slight wear on the door pull on the drivers side door panel, and one small discolored spot on the upper dash pad near the passenger side windshield post.

Mechanically it checked out very well. There is a minor oil leak, probably the rear main seal. The front suspension is rebuilt, but the rear bushings look original and should probably be replaced. They jacked up the car and checked for wear on the rear yokes, and checked for rear bearing play. No issues were found there.

The car could use some detailing, but otherwise I think it's pretty much as described. I'm going to pay him a visit next Friday to see if we can get together on an agreeable price for the car. Wish me luck.

These pics are very large, so I just put links to them to save the dialup folks some grief

You can hardly see the chip in the door by the pic. If there is one in the headlight I couldn't see it. The car has A/C PB and PS. Those are all premiums in the convetible world as you know. Seems like a nice car to me.
