Smog Pump Surface Refinishing
For now, the smog pump is still on my car. It looks like crap though. Can it be repainted or refinished to at least make it a little my "eye" appealing? I'm not looking for the NCRS look, just something better than that dull matted grey finish.

You could paint it with "Rebuilders Cast Finish" by plasti-kote. They have 2 different colors, one is the cast grey color that the brake reservior and tie rods are. The other is a light grey like the color of alternators. It is resistant to 500 degrees and resists oil, brake fluid, and gasoline. This is probably my favorite paint. I sprayed the brake calipers with this stuff and they still look great, even after the seals started leaking again and dripped all over the calipers. Autozone and Advanced auto should sell this stuff.
