First off...he's an "exotic car dealer" (in codespeak that means overpriced). Secondly, read his feedback.
Anyone want a stock '74 vert in so-so condition? Only $23k, pics by the ocean included.

Good question corvtt1969. I have that switch on my car and always wondered what it was for. There are no wires going to it on mine but it is obviously some sort of switch. Anybody know?

The switch is for the rear window defroster. It was only bid up to a little over 15K which is close to the fair market value for a 73 in that condition. :steering: :auto:

If you don't ask.....you know the rest! Were they're ever any engine shots? I gave up waiting on the 20+ exterior shots to download!

The switch is for the rear window defroster.
Turning it one way turns the motor on low, and turning it the other way turns the motor on high.

While the price seems high, a Vette in that condition is exactly the kind that will always appreciate in value. Furthermore, it is actually cheaper to pay that much money up front than to buy an average Vette and make it that nice. I forgot what book I read this quote in, but I believe it to be true: "The most expensive Corvette you will ever buy is the one you pay the least amount of money to buy. The least expensive Corvette is the one you pay the most to buy." That may not be the exact quote, but it's close. I believe Richard Newton is the author.
And any of us who have owned and worked on these cars for any number of years knows that it's much cheaper to let the previous owner get the car painted and/or otherwise perfected than to pay professionals to do the work after you've bought the car. While many of us can do most of our own mechanical work, not many can do the kind of job that yields a finished product like the eBay example cited. Especially paint and body work. That costs big bucks ... fast. And you don't have the car while the work is being done.

I tried to buy that car at the Corvette sale @ Florida Auto Auction two weeks ago. I was bidding on that car at the auction and I can tell you that I got off it in the low $18's.
You have to see the car it is sharp. It is a car you put gas in and drive. Someone spent very big bucks on the restoration. It just isn't a average 73 Vette.

i agree, if you want a 73 in that shape you have to put out some money, it costs twice that to have a cheap one restored,, i know i went there,,
