Having Trouble connecting Tach Cable to Tach--- Anyone HELP!!!!
I am having difficulty connecting my tach cable to the back of the Tach, Has anyone expierienced this before? It seems like it's bottoming out on something? The Speedo cable slipped right in and clicked. The brass inner part slides right in but the outer part that is supposed to lock with the clip will not bottom out so it can clip ???? Anyone have any suggestions????

Need to ask some info ....
1. New tach and new cable ??
2. New cable old tach ??
3. Old cable and old tach ??
I had a problem and it just was becuase I tried connecting the distributor side before I connected the tach side. I was old tach and new cable scenario...
If you do the tach side 1st then you can spin and push on the inner cable to make it sit correctly in the tach.
Hope this helps some..

Thanks Bill, I disconnected tach from distributor and connected to tach first and it worked! By the way - New Cable, Rebuilt tach gauge.
