Default Hooking up aftermarket alarm

I was wondering which do i use for the door trigger(+ or -) and where do i connect. Also wont it be a bit of a problem tying into the door switches because in order for them to work you need to lock the driver door(the method for the factory alarm)
andy help is appreciated

thanks, sonny

Sonny,

I tied into the existing door alarm switches that ground when the door is open. I can't speak to your system but on mine the door lock arming switches do not affect this trigger. :yesnod:

If you mean hook the alarm's negative trigger wire to the light blue wire(s) from the car's door switches the answer is yes. If you have more than one trigger wire you may also want to include the T-Tops and/or the hood.

You would have two places to hook up the trigger, the doors and the hood. Splice into the dash harness for the door lights...
