Pictures of HVAC ducting
Does anyone have pictures or a diagram of the heater and a/c ducting that goes behind the dash in a 1978?

I have my dash out right now, could probably take a picture. My car is a 75, I would guess it's the same, but I don't know for sure. The ducting is really a no-brainer, it will only fit one way. What are you looking for specifically?

Re: Pictures of HVAC ducting (Big Fish)
Well when i bought my car all of the a/c ducts were taken out, so i bought a complete set from a 79, but when i went to install them, the fit is awful and doesnt really line up with anything at all under the dash, like the defrost duct doesnt fit onto the lower box with the act. mounted on it and doesnt really meet up with the defrost vent on the top of the dash, and it appears to have two mounting points, but i see nothing to mount it to. Any help would be appreciated.

Those defrost ducts do fit terrible. I have a 3/8 gap between mine and the opening which it blows through. It does work however. It has a couple mounting ears that are below the outlet and are screwed to the steel under the dash cap on each side.

I believe that the duct that fits inside the other one should have a piece of foam wrapped around it to tighten the fit. I install new foam on mine and they fit tight. Craig

I got all the ducting installed this evening, I used some foam and duct tape to seal the defrost vent to the part where it goes around for a tight seal. Thanks to everyone for their help!
