I was just wondering.

I am collecting the Johnny Lightning 50th anniversary cars and I only have 9 to go to get all 50. I even joined the stupid johnny lightning club to get the two you can't buy, but through them.

I can't guess how many 1/18 scale vettes I have. Some the same year in several colors.

I have 42 1/18th scale Vettes, a couple hundred Hot Wheels/Johnny Lightning, about 100 MatchBox and that doesn't include all the other Vette stuff: Racing Champs, Road Champs, Maisto, Burago, in every scale from1/64th-1/24th. And then I still have to add all the model car sets, 2 colors of Barbie C4 Corvettes (actually bought them for my Granddaughter so they don't count). I really need to find something to do with my spare time. :yesnod: Most of my collection has come from the wife over the last 11 years.

I had one of the Johnny Lightnings that looked just like my car, except it was a '68. I gave it to my niece, and then couldn't find another one. I do have a pretty extensive collection of "in-progress" 1/25 corvette models, though.

I just can't help myself. I have a ton of the 1/18 diecast, a bunch of brand new plastic models (even a 1/8 scale midyear, it's huge!), and three of the real thing!! Does this sound like an illness? :lol:

Forgot to mention the two shelves full of Johnny Lightning vettes and micro machines vettes I have at work in my office. :D

(2) Original '67 magazines covering the all new '68 Corvette
(?) several books on Corvettes (mostly C1 thru C4)
(1) 1:18 scale '69 vette
(1) 1:18 scale C5-R

....and that's all I can think of right now......but the prize is the FULL SCALE in my driveway ! :cool: :cool: :cool:

I just started collecting a few months ago and I can already tell that in a few years this could be really out of hand. I only like 1/18 though

+ lots of other corvette posters/ signs/ jacket/ etc.

people just don't understand the love. a corvette is not just a car

I have collected somewhere near 200 Corvette hot wheels johnny lightning ect over the years. LOL sometimes I wonder what teh cashiers think when I walk up with a handfull of hotwheels. During christmas time I feel a little better LOL I will post a picture later of my collection

Well, if having Corvette diecasts hanging around makes you a Corvette Geek then I am a BIG Corvette Geek. I have about 100 Corvette diecasts......Johnny Lightnings, Hot Wheels, Match box, Zora Arkus-Duntov, etc.......some new, some old......about 60 of them are hanging on the wall in my computer room. The rest are on shelves. I even have one from "Racing Champions" HOT ROD magazine special 50th. Anniversary collector series `63 Corvette issue #9....but what makes this diecast SO special is it was packaged in the bubble pack WITHOUT an engine :hurray:
Every time I go to the store I look for more. I'm like a kid.....I've got to have those little toy cars. :auto:

This might **** you off but I just found four more that I needed tonight from release 1 #'s 49, 41, 3, and 4. So I guess that answer to your question is YES.

I lost count at 1000 when it comes to Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightnings and Matchbox cars.

Have almost 3 complete walls covered from floor to ceiling.

Have 70 1:18 scale and 25 1:24 scale models that hubby has built.

and it just keeps growing!!!!!!!! :lol:

5-6 years...Hubby got it started...bought a''bulk'' purchase of 300..then it was DOWN hill from there! :lol:

we look everywhere for them now..Hubby is the ''E-Bayer''! He has got some terrific deals!!

People think it is pretty :cool: ... show them the ''hobby room'' and it is floor to ceiling with Corvettes!!!

Glad to see I am not the only one. I still haven't decided if I should leave all of them in the packages or take them out. Seems silly to have a set of 50 cars and not be able to enjoy them.
