Parking brake cable installation question
I'm almost done all the underbody work and the last task I have to perform is to replace the parking brake cable which is on order and soon to be delivered. My question is should the cable be lubricated in any way. The original cable was rusted pretty badly in the casing and I'm thinking that a lubricant, like speedometer cable graphite lube or a grease may help to keep it free in the casing for a longer time and operate more smoothly. Any thoughts on this?

Re: Parking brake cable installation question (vettfixr)
I use the cable that Bairs sells and it is lubed already if I recall correctly. The front cable is exposed and I don't put anything on that, but the cable diameter is larger so you have to modify the bracket under the handle if you change it.

Thanks Gary. I ordered my replacement from Corvette Central because they had a few other small items I needed. I'l see if the cable is lubed when I get it.
