body bushing mounts 7 out of 8 ain't bad.
Just finished trying to take out the eight body bolts/bushings. 7 broke loose no problem which really shocked me.
On passenger number 4 the bolt broke though :mad SO when I lift the body how do I remove the broken part thats still in the caged nut? The bolt broke just below the head so theres quite a bit left in there.
Otherwise I am pretty happy so far!!!

Once you have the body up in the air you might get lucky and grab the bolt with Vise-grips but if not, then you will need to remove the cage nut by grinding off the rivets that hold it in place.

ouch, not really what I wanted to here. Seems like it will be really hard to reweld the caged nut back in at that location, not much room in there

No welding ... just rivets.
If the bolt was that rusty, you may find that your steel body reinforcement
is in need of replacement, too. Still, just rivets. I will be using stainless pop
rivets in these.

Rivets! I thought they were welded in. Well that might not be too bad. Thanks for the info!

The number four nuts are held in place by two aluminum rivets to the fiberglass. The support is held to the bottom of the body by eight aluminum rivets. My supports were so bad that the mount pushed up through the fiberglass leaving a big hole. Once I got the bolts and mount out I didn't have anything left to rivet the cage and nut back to so I made a metal plate that fit in place and riveted the cage to it. That held everything together once the new supports, body mounts, and bolts were in place. The aluminum rivets were so corroded that they just about disintegrated when I took it apart.
