Looking For The Fastest '80
No CRAZY mods.....in other words no 9 inch rear.
New engine and tranny and beefed up rear is alright.
I'm just wondering who has done what?
I'm always looking for new ideas....thanks, Les :D

Re: Looking For The Fastest '80 (Glensgages)
14.3 ????
I am shooting for 13.6, but really can't get decent traction with street tires. I guess drag radials are next.
Mine is also a "daily driver" with full accessories, working A/C that won't overheat even in Phoenix and also just survived a 800 mile trip a few weeks back. It also survived 5 passes down the 1/4 mile last Friday, and was around to drive Vette_Fetish home when his didn't. (Just had to pick on him one more time).
Dan - see you at the road-course this weekend.

Re: Looking For The Fastest '80 (AGVI)
I'm not the fastest but fast enough for me. The car in his present state did around 13,50 quarter mile. Stock manifold and exhaust without cat, 3,07 gear, stock TH350C.
In a week or so, I'm putting headers, x-pipe and ultraflow 2-1/2 SS, 3,54 gear, 2500 stall and shift kit. It should put me in the high 12 in the quarter. For the added power, I will run Tom's diff. forged spindle for safety and I already have spicer solid u-joint. That should be fun! :D
Future mod, manual tranny and 100 hp nitrous oxyde to dig the 11. I built my engine with that in mind, wider ring end gap and forged piston.

As far as the road-course goes, I'm still on the fence. We'll see...
